JILL EIKENBERRY

 

Jill Eikenberry’s long list of theater, feature film and TV credits include the portrayal of activist counselor, Ann Kelsey on NBC – TV hit series “L.A. Law” for which she earned four Emmy Nominations, two Golden Globe nominations and a Golden Globe nominations and a Golden Globe award.  She reprised her role on LA Law – The Movie on NBC.

 

A Graduate of Yale Drama School, Jill appeared regionally at Yale Rep, at the Arena Stage in Washington D.C. and at the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven.  Her Broadway

Credits include “Moonchildren”, “Watch on the Rhine”, “Summer Brave”, “Onward Victoria” and “All Over Town”, directed by Dustin Hoffman.  She appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions including Wendy Wasserstein’s “Uncommon Women”, in which she also appeared opposite Meryl Streep in the PBS – TV version and Tennessee Williams’ “Eccentricities of a Nightingale,” as well as “Lemon Sky” by Lanford Wilson and “Life Under Water” by Richard Greenberg, both of which earned her an Obie Award.  Last year, she performed in “The Vagina Monologues” at Circle in the Square in San Francisco.

 

Jill made her feature film debut in “Between the Lines” opposite John Heard, Jeff Goldblum and Lindsay Krause;  then went on to do “Rich Kids” with John Lithgow, :Butch and the Sundance: The Early Years”, “Hide in Plain Sight”, starring James Caan,

“Arthur” (in which she played Dudley Moore’s jilted fiancée), and then again opposite John Lithgow in “The Manhattan Project”.  Recently she performed in an independent feature film entitled, “Manna from Heaven”.

 

On television Jill appeared in numerous TV movies, most notably, the four hour ABC mini-series “An Inconvenient Woman” with Jason Robards, “Ties that Bind” with Peter Coyote and Showtime’s “Chantilly Lace” and its sequel “Parallel Lives”.  She co starred with husband Michael Tucker, in “Assault and Matrimony”, “Archie’s Wife”, “Taken Away” and “A Town Torn Apart.”

 

Jill co-produced and hosted “Destined to Live”, a one hour documentary on NBC-TV, which dealt with emotional aspects of breast cancer, which she herself successfully battled in 1986.  The film was broadcast on primetime television and received the Humana’s award.


MICHAEL TUCKER

 

A veteran stage, film and television actor, Michael Tucker is perhaps best known for his role as Stuart Markowitz in the hit series “L.A. Law”.  His 8 year stint on the popular NBC-TV drama brought him three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nominations.  He reprised his role on LA Law – The Movie, seen on NBC.

 

Most recently seen in the Marin Theater Company’s production of the “Last Schwartz”, Michael’s theater credits range from Regional to Broadway.  The Carnegie-Mellon graduate made his Broadway debut with in “Moonchildren”.  He went on to be an extensive list of stage credits, among them “waiting for Godot”, “Modigliani”, “The Rivals”, “Mother Courage”, “Oh What a Lovely War”, “Trelawney of the Wells”, with Meryl Streep and John Lithgow and I’m Not Rappaport” as well as principal roles in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”, “Measure for Measure” and “The Comedy of Errors”,         

for Joe Papp in Central Park.  He helped to re-open the Geary Theater in San Francisco where he starred in a new production of “The Tempest”.

 

Michael’s film credits include Woody Allen’s “Radio Days” and the Purple Rose of Cairo”, Barry Levinson’s “Diner and “Tin Men”, Paul Mazursky’s “An Unmarried Woman”, “The Eyes of Laura Mars”, “Checking Out”, “For Love or Money” with Michael J. Fox “Mighty Ducks II”, a Disney hit and Till There Was You”, with Jean Tripplehorn.

 

TV credits include, “Maximum Liability”, the Emmy award winning TV mini-series “Concealed Enemies”, the three hour Emmy award winning TV movie “Day One”, “Too Young to Die”, with Juliette Lewis and Brad Pitt, The NBC movie “Growing up Brady”, and many others.

 

With Jill, “The Tuckerberrys” have also appeared together on stage in A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters”, on TV in the “The Hill Street Blues” and such TV movies as “A Family Again”, “Assault and Matrimony”, “A Town Torn Apart” and “Archie’s Wife”, which also featured their daughter Alison.

 

Michael was seen co-starring opposite Tracey Ullman in the highly acclaimed HBO series, “Tracey Takes On…”, and prior to that appeared in the HBO special “Tracy Takes on New York”.  Michael guest-starred on “The Practice” and “Judging Amy” and had a recurring role on “Family Law”.

 

Michael received the “Good Guys Award” from the National Women’s Political Caucus for his work on women’s health issues.

 

Michael Tucker’s first book “I Never Forget a Meal:  An Indulgent Reminiscence” is part memoir, part cookbook.  In this witty autobiography, he captures his passion for living, loving learning, acting and his lifelong love for food.
