Alison Chaplin

Vice President

Call Us

Alison Chaplin began her journey in the world of entertainment we call "Show Business"  thanks to “The Barry Sisters”, a singing sister team from the Yiddish Theater, when Merna Barry helped secure an audition for the lead vocal on the soundtrack recording of Pippi Long stocking and The South Seas. Alison didn’t get the role but she can be heard as one of the background singers.  At the age of twelve, she began recording television jingles and made her way onto numerous children’s recordings such as "Sesame Street".

Alison hails from Douglaston, New York but shortly after graduating The University of Miami, as a musical theater major, made Florida her home.  In 1994, Alison had been performing on Cruise ships and The Catskill Mountains, when she decided to switch positions to the other side of the desk.  Alison wasn’t totally sure this was something she wanted to do but a friend was pushing her to get the proverbial “real job”. She began working for the world renowned concert promoter, Arie Kaduri.

Alison decided to give it six months and one hundred percent to her new career as an agent. She promised herself that she would be as fair as she could be to an artist without jeopardizing her own principles. Although missing performing, she found that she liked this end of the business and the more she accomplished, as an agent, the more it drew her in until she was hooked for good.  Alison credits Arie Kaduri as mentoring her in this business. She is, and will always be, most grateful for the opportunities he has given to her.  Alison has worked her way from an agent to Vice President of - NYK-Rapp Enterprises, LLC, a world-wide talent/concert/promotion and management agency.

Today, she respectfully takes pride in personally representing such celebrities as Tony and Emmy Award winning star, Hal Linden, and Tony Award Nominee, as well as television star/ motion picture star, Lucie Arnaz, for variety work. She works closely with, and follows, the careers of such celebrities as Tony Orlando, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr, Jay Black, Robert Klein and Clint Holmes. Recently, Alison and her partners have opened up a Cabaret Artist division within the Agency and are working with acts she considers to be top draw entertainment; Lee Roy Reams, Valarie Pettiford, Karen Saunders and Carol Woods and many more.

In New York City, at the famed Friar’s Club, Alison has produced Tribute shows for celebrities such as Hal Linden, Rita Moreno, Lainie Kazan, the late Bruce Adler, Michele Lee, Shirley Jones and Clint Holmes. The next celebrity honoree will be Melissa Manchester.

Throughout the years, Alison has always felt the importance of “giving back” through the arts.

Alison’s most passionate charity for the last 16 years has been doing a yearly fund raiser for the "City of Hope" raising funds for Aids and Breast Cancer Research.

Alison is highly honored by this recognition of the FREC Award.
